Sprucing Up
With all of these talks with Disney, I’ve been revisiting some of the old paper models. With the creation of the Wicked Queen’s Heart Box, I’ve created a new, standard layout for the instruction sheets. The new format makes it very easy to change an image or edit text; I used to create them in Photoshop. I also took the time to convert both the Wicked Wench and Sleeping Beauty Castle paper model.
About a year or more ago, I began updating some of the textures, then it went to the back burner for a while. Today, I decided to start it up again, and you’ll be surprised at the end results. The fake stone texture has been replaced with a realistic one, fold lines are clearly marked, and some shadows, bevels, & pattern overlays will be Photoshopped in to add depth to many of the flat surfaces. The improvements are going to be big, and I just may build the new version, replacing the old inkjet one that I first made.
