Photos & a Mod

I’ve been getting some requests for photos of the completed castle model. I guess people want to use them as reference photos so they can begin building the model before the instructions are finished. I’m all for that, but I’ll have to re-shoot a bunch of photos; the original photos were only used as part of the construction progress report, and have been deleted since then. My nephew is lurking about, so I can’t do it today; I was lucky to rescue my crumbling Tower of Terror model from him.

For those of you who insist on building the castle right now, you should know that a mod (short for ‘modification’) will be in the works.

The model currently resembles what the castle looks like today. With the mod, you’ll be able to have the alcove that was originally on the back side of the castle in 1955. If you’d rather have this little alcove, you should avoid building this section of the model until the mod comes out (sometime after the instructions are completed).
