Paper Art: Pirate Ship Restaurant—No. 08a
I’ve been chatting with Eric Barnes on Facebook recently, and he had an idea for a new Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle paper model modification. He shared a few photos and blueprints of a tiny corner of the castle that has always baffled me until now. The topic very briefly turned to the Chicken of the Sea Restaurant paper model as Eric wondered if there would be any upcoming theme park models coming out soon.
Tonight, I decided to revisit the restaurant model to see where I left off in my progress . . . nearly 2 years ago. Well, 3 hours after turning on my computer, I’ve got the display stand broken down with the parts have unfolded.
The plan is to have a couple different versions of the ship along with a couple of different display stands and signs. Rather than try to produce all of them at once (which would muck up the instructions and create confusion), I’ll create the basic stand, ship design, and sign for the Chicken of the Sea version. The Captain Hook’s Galley version will come later, and the diorama display stand will come after that.
Now, let’s see if I can keep this momentum going.
I volunteer to be a beta builder!
Go man go!
Oh, I am. In fact, I’ll have another video update in the next week or two.
