New Server
The site has recently changed servers. I’ve had to re-allocate a lot of my spare time to paying clients, preventing me from keeping up my end of a contract with the owner of the previous server. Living in Southern California’s county with the highest rate of unemployment, I have to really manage my time well. Darn economy!
There may be a few hiccups within the site right now. The Search function is not working at the moment (no idea when/if that will be back up), the guest quotes are acting up (disabled at the moment), and a few people (5-10?) may have been accidentally dropped from the newsletter (only recent subscribers). If you think you’re not receiving the newsletter, re-submit your email address using the form on the left. You will be alerted if you are already joined.
With the move to the new server, this site now has more than enough disk space and monthly bandwidth. I do, however, have to pay a monthly hosting fee. And, of course, there’s the domain name fee (not due ’til 2010), and the private registration fee (helps keep away email spam and telephone solicitors). Your continued donations are what really help keep this site going, and are greatly appreciated. Every bit helps!
Now for some semi-bad news. Because I’ve had to shift a lot of my time from non-paying projects, I may be forced to trim some fat. The first to suffer may be the Head Shrinker, my personal Blog. I will be blogging less, cleaning/deleting posts, or possibly ending it completely.
Another project getting the cut is the monthly 10th anniversary gifts. I may not have time to work on anything big, and I’m still having trouble getting any paper crafts approved by Disney. Until I figure something out, I will keep it going as is.
