Mission Patch Features Marvel’s Rocket & Groot

The latest mission patch for the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) was designed by Marvel Custom Solutions Group. It features Rocket and Groot from Marvel‘s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and it will be used on all 2016 payloads headed to the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory. It’s pretty cool to see more and more of geek culture being woven into the fabric of modern life.

Later in the year, CASIS will announce an educational contest, designed around Rocket and Groot, as part of their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) initiative.
