Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Premiere, 2018
July is here, so that means Christmas ornaments! That’s right, Hallmark‘s ornament premiere begins this month. It runs from July 14th through the 22nd, which is unusual. Their event usually only runs through the weekend (2-3 days). Maybe it’s a good thing.
I’ve been to many premieres, and I can tell you that even if you’re one of the first 20 people in line, you still end up waiting an hour to check out. That’s because many people pre-order their ornaments and pick them up in the store. So the line grows pretty fast. But, you do make friends while you’re there, and the stores usually offer free drinks, cookies, and whatnot. Thankfully, I may not need to go this year.
The ornament that I want is the “Partners” statue, which debuts later this year on October 6. I actually want two. One to put on the tree, and one to keep on permanent display – preferably under a glass dome. I’ve always loved that statue. Disneyland used to sell small-scale versions, but they were always too expensive. I think I’ll settle for the $20 desk-sized version.
There are plenty of other Disney ornaments as well as Star Wars and Marvel ornaments. If you go during premiere week, you may also be able to pick up special limited-quantity ornaments, like Cogsworth or the Wasp. Those are usually kept at the register, and they are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
