Grave & Grim
It is with great regret that I inform everyone about Doorless Chambers’ closure. The reasons are twofold, and are both linked to the current U.S. economic situation.
First, I am forced to cut personal spending costs farther than ever before, which now includes online activities. Doorless Chambers is one of those activities that is not crucial, and can save me monthly hosting costs.
Second, when I am not working, I am spending more time searching for paying clients. It’s how I make my living, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find time to devote to personal and public projects. Sad, but true.
I’d like to thank all who participated in the events in the prior years. Your interest, enthusiasm, and support has been greatly appreciated.
I will continue to hold on to the domain name in case things pick back up in the future. Here’s hoping that I can one day raise Doorless Chambers from the dead.
Robert Nava (aka Trader Sam) is the owner and operator of Doorless Chambers. This is being disclosed in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
Does anyone have archives of years past, I had most of it on a portable hard drive that failed in a dramatic fashion last week.
Thanks for the reminder! I do plan on re-releasing all of the treats from the Doorless Chambers website. As for the other participants, they may not be available. I have some links, and they may work. I’ll post an update, so watch the Site News.
You can always access the Haunted Experience treats right here. They consist of the Escape from the Haunted Mansion board game, Jack Skellington’s Coffin Sleigh paper model, and the Mini Bone Deer & Mini Zero paper model set.
I’ve even decided to nix my home haunt this year. It’s just too expensive to repair and buy new materials.
Also keep in mind that that doesn’t mean that there won’t be any Halloween treats here. The Disney Experience has always done that.
I’m very sorry to hear it, Sam. And would second the motion that I am very glad to see you can still keep this site up. We die-hard Haunted Mansion fans really appreciated the Doorless Chambers experience and hope to see it return some day. Good luck!!!
Trader Sam, I feel for you and am glad that you haven’t given up on Doorless Chambers and that you’ve managed to keep The Disney Experience. I hope you can hang in there like the rest of us through this horrid economic situation we find ourselves wading through because you bring a lot of joy and relief through your site.
