Back to Roots
There’s been an awful lot of paper model hoopla over the past few months. With the completion of the Complete Collection CD, I think I’m gonna take a LONG break from designing paper models. Of course, I have no doubt that inspiration will slap me upside the head me one day, and I’ll have no choice but to create another model. Until then, I’m focusing on getting rid of some of my personal models.
I’ve simply run out of room to display all of my models. Plus, I’d like some shelf space to display other things. I really, REALLY don’t want to destroy my models, especially after investing all of the time and effort to design & build them; I’d rather have someone take care of them. That’s why I decided to auction them off. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give them to someone and make a little money in the process. It’s a long shot, but if people are willing to buy burned piece of toast that happens to have the likeness of Jesus on it, someone, somewhere must be willing to buy a decent paper model. My only other alternative is a visit to Mr. Fireplace.
Meanwhile, I’ve been returning to icon creation. I admit that I rarely create icons anymore. Fortunately, when I do, I create large batches for future use. I’m considering offering icon-creation services, so I’m working on creating a full set of Disney-ish system icons, which will be free.
I’ve also been creating some brand-new icons for the Disney Experience. So, hopefully, there should be another explosion of awesome icons.
